Corrections

If something on this site is wrong or out of date, write to corrections@smallnotebook.org. Tell us the page, the claim or value, and what you found. If a source has changed, include its link.

What we do

• Check the evidence. For an article we identify the claim and the source behind it. For a ledger value we identify the crop, field, source page and check date.
• Re-read when a source has changed. A value is re-read from the current source, and the page carries the new date.
• Correct in public. The page gets a dated correction note saying what was wrong and what changed. Superseded values are kept, not silently replaced.
• Qualify while we check. If an error affects a recommendation, we qualify or withdraw it until it is resolved.

We do not publish private details from correction reports.
